<\/span>March 2024 Meeting Summary<\/a><\/span><\/p>

ALERT – SUSPECTED VEHICLE BURGLARIES\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Please be advised that a homeowner on Clearcreek Drive, has reported an unlawful entry into a vehicle at 10:07 p.m. on August 31st. The suspect was shown in night vision (in the attached video<\/a><\/span><\/strong>), approaching and entering the vehicle. He appeared to have an electronic device or key fob, which unlocked the driver side door. The suspect was inside the vehicle for some time, but does not appear to have taken anything.<\/p>

An additional homeowner on Clearcreek Drive near the pond, advises that a vehicle in the driveway was entered and rummaged through, but appears that nothing was taken.<\/p>

In both cases, the homeowner had items of possible interest to a burglar, which were not taken.<\/p>

Finally, there is unconfirmed information that a vehicle in the driveway of another home within a rock\u2019s throw of The Springs, was also entered on the night of August 31st.<\/p>

We suggest that you should not leave anything of value in a vehicle parked in the driveway overnight. Also, as we further explore how entry was gained, please insure that your vehicle is locked. If you have cameras, please ensure that they are working properly and have the correct time stamp.<\/p>

Observe and advise the Sheriff\u2019s Office (813-247-8200) and The Springs of any known or suspicious activity. DO NOT PLACE YOURSELF IN DANGER!<\/p>

Hillsborough County Info<\/span><\/p>

\u00a0Hillsborough County Solid Waste customers served by Waste Connections will resume residential recycling collection service every week, beginning Monday, August 31<\/span><\/span><\/p>

In June, the County informed residents that Waste Connections was modifying recycling collection because many of the company\u2019s truck drivers were unavailable to work due to the coronavirus (COVID-19).<\/p>

The Springs is a deed restricted community. In order to preserve our community and properties, it is imperative that homeowners are aware and in compliance with deed restrictions.<\/p>

Our community takes pride in maintaining and improving its overall appearance. The overall appearance of the community is a critical element in retaining the value of each individual property. To maintain these values on behalf of the homeowners, the Springs Association\u2019s Board periodically inspects individual lots or properties for compliance with existing deed restrictions and standards.<\/p>

The recent stay at home orders due to the corona virus can be an opportunity to clean up our yards and look at the appearance of our yards and dwellings.<\/p>

The following violations have been recurring and are causing some problems..<\/p>

Yard and landscaping problems such as weeds, overgrown shrubbery, etc. This includes overgrown weeds in plant landscaping as well as overgrown and weed infested lawns. Vehicles improperly parked on property, on street or right of way or on the lawn. This is an ongoing problem and has caused some near accidents. Vehicles are also prohibited from regular and extended parking in the street. Please note, parking on the grass by the pond is also prohibited. Overnight parking and regular parking of vehicles on street or right of way. Garbage and debris stored on side or front of house Unlicensed vehicles or trailers Mailboxes falling down or in disrepair. We encourage you to take the time and look at your properties and correct any violations.<\/p>

In addition, we would also like to remind you that any changes to property exterior, including painting, fences, etc. must be approved by the Architectural Review Committee prior to commencement.<\/p>

Those of you who are working hard to maintain your properties are commended and appreciated.<\/p>

We are reminding everyone of the neighborhood restrictions on airborne fireworks, due to the close proximity of our properties. The recommended response remains the same. You may notify the Sheriff’s Office of your safety concern and file a complaint with our A&L compliance committee, (including any suppporting documentation and witnesses). Rules<\/span><\/p>

Hand Watering<\/strong><\/span><\/p>

Hand-watering and low-volume irrigation of plant material other than lawns or turfgrass may be done on any day and at any time.<\/span><\/p>

New Sod and Landscaping<\/strong><\/span><\/p>

All watering of new sod and landscaping must be done before 8 a.m. or after 6 p.m. An irrigation system zone can only be operated if the new sod or plant material covers at least 50 percent of that zone.<\/span><\/p>
